Private Pilates Lessons

Sometimes a group class isn’t what you need. Maybe you can’t find a class that fits around your schedule, or the commute adds another hour to your already bloated day. Or you’re a beginner keen to learn the fundamentals of Pilates before launching both of your left feet into a group setting. Maybe you’ve recovered from a nasty injury but need the dedicated eye of a Pilates teacher to ease you back into exercise. Or perhaps group exercise has always made you anxious (rammed, performative gyms and awkward school sports memories, anyone?).

With private matwork lessons in the comfort of your own home, I bring the Pilates studio to you, so you can enjoy an hour built entirely around what your body actually needs on the day.

Why private lessons work so well

The freedom to focus on exactly what matters to you. Every session is built around your body, your goals and your preferred pace. We’ll tend to its niggles and imbalances and gently unpack its history and movement habits to improve your mobility, strength and confidence. (Be warned: you’ll often hear me reminding you, “We’re all perfectly imbalanced!” A bit annoying, but also catchy, I feel?)

Focused support. If you’re managing back pain, need to work around a chronic condition, or have finally fully recovered from an injury, private Pilates lets us work carefully and specifically together, adjusting sessions as your needs and confidence change.

Please note: I’m not a healthcare practitioner or a clinical Pilates teacher. I work with clients whose chronic conditions are medically stable, and with old, fully healed injuries. Where appropriate, I’m happy to work alongside advice from your healthcare professional.

Faster progress. With my undivided attention and hands-on cues, technique corrections happen in real time, so you can develop good movement habits from the start. You’ll learn to move more efficiently and mindfully, understand your body’s needs better, and work towards your goals with a programme designed specifically for you.

Total flexibility. Book around your schedule, not the other way round. No fixed timetable and no missed classes to catch up on.

In the comfort of your own home. I know home workouts are often something we mean to do rather than actually end up doing. That’s the point of bringing Pilates to you: an end to the most iron-clad excuses and procrastination, me there to keep you moving, no commute hassles and no dashing to get changed in public change rooms. Just a valuable session that slots into your day rather than fighting for space in it. Ultimately, for my private clients, that’s the difference between Pilates remaining a good idea and Pilates becoming an invaluable habit.

All you’ll need is a bit of floor space to fit two mats in and a bit of wiggle room around them. I’ll bring the mats, any additional props, and the expertise. I teach across South west London, including Raynes Park, Southfields and Wimbledon Village, so if you’re local, private in-home Pilates lessons are simple to arrange. If you’d prefer, I’m also happy to teach you online via Zoom.
